PechaKucha lecture by low architects

Within a team of 11 European offices, LOW was invited to design a room in the new Ronald McDonald house in Hamburg.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities is a non-profit organisation operating in 52 countries worldwide. Main focus is to provide temporary housing for families of seriously ill children undergoing medical treatment in a neighbouring hospital. The 20th Ronald McDonald House in Germany will be built at the AKK Altonaer Kinderkrankenhaus in Hamburg.

The first stone laying ceremony of the children’s hospital took place on September 9th. LOW joined in and also participated in the 1st workshop, held at the Architektursalon in Hamburg. Our room should be finished by the end of 2014 !
