Darwin is situated within the waterfront science park in Niel. The building houses companies working in life sciences and is part of an ambitious master plan developed by LOW Architecten and Delva Landscape Architects in 2012.

On the exterior the distinct shifted volumes cladded in red brick make a clear historical reference to the old brickyards typology formerly prevalent in the area.

The interior of Darwin is organized around a generous atrium filled with light that promotes a collaborative and friendly working atmosphere.
