House for L&G

A compartmentalized duplex is internally restructured to an open and bright penthouse apartment on the topmost levels of a residential building on the Frankrijklei.

By inserting a new staircase the living areas are directly connected and open to the green roof terraces on the upper floor.

The choice of materials – such as bright tiles in the bathroom, light wood for the cabinets and kitchen – give the apartment a contemporary and personal quality. The marble mosaic floors reference the Olivetti showroom by Carlo Scarpa in Venice and give the apartment a touch of Italian luxury atop the roofs of Antwerp
