The headquarters of the Auxiliary Office for Unemployment Benefits is located near the north train station of Brussels. Low planned a careful renovation of the formerly decaying 1960s office building.
The ambitions for this project were twofold: better service for visitors, as well as an upgraded comfortable working environment for employees. The champagne-colored steel cladding generously reaches out to the surroundings and attracts visitors.
Moreover, the tilted windows allow visitors to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the lively neighborhood. In this sense the building was given a new identity, hence setting a best praxis example for a sustainable renovation within the north station area of Brussels.
