Bockstael Offices & Leisure

The renovated 1960’s building at Bockstaellaan in Brussels is part of an ambitious neighborhood-regeneration program with the goal to spark new synergies in the city.

Due to the site’s proximity to the Tour and Taxis Park, developing a green courtyard that mediates between city, cultural activities and the park, became a guiding theme for our design. More specifically our renovation proposal features two main volumes.

Firstly, a higher brick volume facing the street comprising the cities administration offices and secondly a wooden structure that gradually connects the city and the green landscape of the parc.
