Housing project Devreesestraat
A former post office from 1933 is being transformed into 21 residential units of different sizes and typologies.
The warehouses in the back of the plot are partially removed to create a collective garden with the industrial touch of the intact columns and beams.
Furthermore the corner is built up with two additional levels in order to emphasize the horizontality of the existing facades and reach the height of its neighbors. Setbacks create private outdoor spaces and a prominent volume that visually defines the intersection.
