In the dense urban fabric of Antwerp, the open and generous spaces of the former police court lent themselves well to a qualitative transformation into 27 residential units.

Originally the complex of two on ground level connected office buildings was designed in 1970 and made use of the entire depth of the plot.

This intermediate volume was replaced by a shared central courtyard, towards which the added balconies are oriented.

The exterior was enhanced by a complete façade renovation as well as playful brickwork.
