The Val Maria housing project is situated in the Neder-Over-Heembeek district within the city of Brussels.

The neighborhood surrounding the newly conceived 24 houses is characterized by a green landscape and calm suburban atmosphere. In this regard our design responds both in scale and architectural expression to its surroundings in order to strengthen the prevailing “village like” qualities of the area.

Furthermore, the houses are directed towards various directions, creating a range of lively in-between outdoor spaces that encourage a collective way of living.
