“La nouvelle cité” is a renovation project constituted of six collective residential buildings (180 apartments) situated at the Madelon square in Brussels.

Our design is based on a set of precise spatial interventions that build upon the heritage value of the area, while revitalizing the buildings towards modern architectural standards and zero energy levels.

More specifically we restored the façades with an interwoven brick pattern that breathes new live into the neighborhood and refers to the architectural language of this pristine 1930’s ensemble.
