The R-building is a multifunctional extension for the Hospital Oost-Limburg in Genk.

In order to combine the needs of a varying program, we opted for a modular and flexible layout that will be able to accommodate future changes.

Consequently, the building’s facades are designed to allow an airy and bright healthcare experience, extending the visitor’s gaze towards the surrounding park.

In order to further blend the building within its surrounding green landscape, we used reflective materials for the facade, thus creating an ever-changing dynamic reflection of light, greenery, and sky.
