The “research park waterfront” is located in Niel near the Welenhoek nature reserve.

The parks name is inspired by the characteristic water-filled clay pits which are an remnant of the brick industry formerly present in the area.

In collaboration with Delva landscape architects a master plan was developed, which links the two nearby urban centers through a central axis lined by a variety of business spaces.

Furthermore the central square and the recreational facilities along the water emphasize the natural context as the key element of the design.
